The paintings of Victoria Brill (the artist formerly known as Smith) are on view at the Karen A. Garafalo Cultural Center at the Philmont Public Library through March 25th. Victoria Brill studied drawing, painting, and anatomy at the Art Students League in both New York City and Woodstock, New York. She is profoundly influenced by music and often works directly, in performance, with free jazz and improvised music ensembles. Brill has shown widely in New York and San Francisco, and her works are in private collections in many countries.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday February 12 from 2-4pm. Come and meet the artist, have some refreshment and stimulating conversation about these lively works. Brill will be conducting a hands-on painting workshop in March at this location.
