Philmont, NY - Chatham artist DeeAnn Veeder explores her love of nature and the nature of love through her oil paintings. "I am inspired by nature, her enormous mystery and powerful wordlessness. I am inspired by inexpressible emotion, words I can't ever touch, words that can't find me," says Veeder

DeeAnn Veeder was born and raised in Dutchess County, New York. She was involved in theatre in New York City in the 1980's. She married in 1993, gave birth to her two most precious works of art in 1995 and 2001. She began painting in 1999.

She is presenting a solo show of her work "SEASONS Of Love Of Nature" September 1-30 at the Karen A. Garafalo Cultural Center at the Philmont Public Library, 101 Main Street, Philmont. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
