Louie Curcio, Philmont Village Barber for over 60 years, was presented a proclamation by Mayor Clarence Speed thanking Louie for his years of service in the Village at the Village Board meeting on December 8th. A large crowd, including Town Supervisor James Keegan and Judge Jonathan Nichols, joined the audience for the celebration. A speech was made by Albert Wassenhove, and Assemblyman Marc Molinaro also presented a resolution of thanks in honor of the importance of the role of Barber in the community, and appreciation for Louie’s presence.
Although Lou announced his retirement, he can still be found giving haircuts at the barber shop. |
