It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Christine Kissel on Friday, June 23.

Christine has been a member of the Library Board and has served as our outstanding secretary for many years. In addition, she was our "artist in residence." Christine was responsible for the oak tree that stands majestically on our front lawn, indicating contributors to our annual fund-raiser for programming. Christine also created the "In Memory" and "In Honor" displays in the rear hallway of the library. When a donation was given in someone's name, Christine would add that name in her beautiful calligraphy.

Not only was Christine an artist and a musician, but she was an appreciator and supporter of the arts. Christine was always in attendance at programs at the library and encouraged any and all artistic endeavors.
